NZE OKEY P. NWANKWO SHARES REFLECTIONS ON LATE MOTHER’S IMPACT

During the burial of Late Ezinne Lady Catherine Paul Nwankwo, the mother of Nze Okey Paul Nwankwo JP, the Immediate Past President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Abia State and Chairman of the State Presidents Forum for the Southeast and Southsouth Region, shared poignant reflections on her enduring influence and legacy.

In his remarks, Nze Nwankwo acknowledged the profound personal challenge posed by his mother’s passing but emphasized the lessons learned during this difficult time.
“This loss serves as a reminder of the fleeting nature of time and the importance of making the most of every opportunity to serve others,” he stated.
He credited his mother’s unwavering commitment to leadership and community service as a foundational influence on his own approach.

“Her legacy instills in me the values of humility, respect, fairness, equity, and justice,”
Nze Okey remarked, highlighting how these principles continue to inspire his dedication to serving others with integrity and compassion.

Moreover, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who attended the burial and offered support during this trying period.
“The condolences and support from the community have been instrumental in helping me navigate through this challenging time.”
The occasion served as a profound reminder of the pivotal role maternal figures play in shaping the values and leadership styles of individuals within the realm of community service and governance.

The ceremony, held at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mbutu Ngwa, was attended by numerous dignitaries and community members who gathered to honor her memory and extend their condolences.

DISTINGUISHED VETERAN BROADCAST JOURNALIST TRANSITS.

The remains of late Chief Chiadikobi Abarikwu laid to rest on Friday 4th October, 2024.
The event took place in Okwoyi, Umuahia North LGA, the community of Chief Abarikwu.
On Tuesday 1st of October, a delegation of Abia NUJ Veterans Stakeholders Forum paid a condolence visit to the family of the late elder statesman and journalist.

The delegation was received by the eldest son Mr. Udo Abarikwu, his twin sister,Ugo and their mother.

The chairman of the Veterans Forum, Sir Ambrose Nwachukwu led the delegation to the family of the deceased veteran Broadcast Journalist.

Chief Chiadikobi Abarikwu was a former Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ, in the old Imo State, a distinguished Broadcast Journalist who served in the Imo Broadcasting Corporation, Owerri , and later in the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia where he retired as the Director,News and Current Affairs.
He was on of the best Broadcasting in Nigeria produced.

As family, friends, associates and professional colleagues gather in Okwoyi today for the funeral of late Chief Chiadikobi Abarikwu, we pray God to give rest to his soul. May He grant the family the grace to bear his departure. Amen.

OUR HEARTS ARE WITH GOVERNOR UMO ENO, AKWA IBOM STATE OVER LOSS OF FIRST LADY – SENATOR AKOBUNDU

The Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Austin Akobundu, has commiserated with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, his family, people and government of Akwa Ibom over the demise of his wife and First Lady of the state, Pastor Patience Umo Eno.
Aged 57, Mrs Eno passed on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Senator Akobundu, in his condolence message to Governor Eno, described the death of the Akwa Ibom First Lady as a sad one, pointing out that it was devastating to everyone who knew her as well as her pet project, Golden Initiative For All (GIFA).
According to the Distinguished Senator, Patience was an extraordinary woman and dedicated servant of God who served God and humanity with all her might.

Senator Akobundu, who is also the Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs therefore asked her family and people of Akwa Ibom not to allow the legacy of the First Lady including her show of love and compassion to the needy to die, adding that they should continue to let her milk of human kindness to glow.
On behalf of the people of Abia Central, the Distinguished Senator prayed the Almighty God to grant her soul eternal rest.
He used the opportunity to ask the Eno family and the entire Akwa Ibom State to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude. (more…)

Daddy you were my pillar of strength, the backbone of my success you made me what I am today.
Thank you for everything you taught me, your words of wisdom and encouragement. In my difficult times you never allowed me to go through it alone, you have always supported me, Prayed and Assured me that all is well. Thank you for showing me the right way to follow.
Daddy you were a devoted Christian and a true Man of God, you lived a simple and sincere life, you were a Principled , Honest and Fearless Personality, a Strict disciplinarian with a Superlative loving heart for your Children.
My Daddy took the whole family under his wings even after mummy’s death in 2015, you confidently played the role of a father and mother. Your level of Tolerance and Ability to forgive was outstanding.
We your children are greatful for the love you showered on us, your blessings, the sacrifices you made and the “Great Father” you were to us.
Your good works, Legacies and Teachings will not be in Vain, Daddy I really miss you but I believe that God knows the best.
May your Soul rest and rejoice forever in the Bossom of the Almighty God Amen.
